Providence Friars +9 against Xavier Musketeers – Providence enters this Big East showdown with a 19-7 overall record but just 7-6 in Big East play as they have lost 4 of their last 6 games. Xavier comes in with a 22-3 overall record and 10-3 in Big East play as they are ranked 8th in the nation and in great position to secure a top seed in the NCAA Tournament if they can close out the regular season strong. This game is a rematch from a 75-68 win Xavier earned in Providence last month on January 26th. The spread on this game is inflated in our eyes as there is no way Xavier is that much better than Providence and certainly not if Friars point guard Kris Dunn and power forward Ben Bentil bring their “A” games tonight. Take the +9 points with Providence as the Friars have a real shot at winning outright never mind simply keeping it close enough to cover the spread.

Temple Owls +9.5 against Villanova Wildcats – The Temple Owls enter this Philadelphia city “Big 5” matchup playing their best basketball of the season as they have won 8 of their last 9 including their last 5 games to improve to 16-8 overall and put themselves in great position to win the American Athletic regular season conference title as well as an at-large NCAA Tournament bid. If they want to improve their resume even more tonight they’ll have to beat an impressive 22-3 overall Villanova Wildcats team that has beaten them the last two meetings by 23 and 16 points. We look for Temple to be highly motivated and very confident tonight against their Philadelphia city rivals and keep this game much closer than the last couple meetings. Frankly, it wouldn’t surprise us at all if Temple was able to spring the big time outright upset. Take the +9.5 points with Temple on the spread tonight.

Seton Hall Pirates +2.5 against Georgetown Hoyas – The Seton Hall Pirates enter tonight’s Big East Conference game against the Georgetown Hoyas with a 17-7 overall record including 7-5 in Big East play. The Pirates are in good shape to earn an at-large bid in the 2016 NCAA Tournament if they can close strong and they should be able to further improve their resume tonight against a Georgetown team they beat at home 69-61 on February 6th. The Hoyas are in the midst of a very disappointing season as they are just 14-12 overall and 7-6 in Big East play with no chance at making the NCAA Tournament unless they were to win the 2016 Big East Tournament or at the very least win out and get to the Big East Tournament Championship Game. That’s highly unlikely and we also feel it’s highly unlikely they are able to beat the Pirates and cover as -2.5 point favorites tonight. Take the +2.5 points and Seton Hall.
