2015 Free Final Four Picks and Predictions – Michigan St vs Duke and Wisconsin vs Kentucky Betting: There are four teams left standing in the 2015 NCAA tournament, and for just the fifth time ever, three No. 1 seeds have reached the Final Four. The top-seeded Kentucky Wildcats emerged from the Midwest Region and head to Indianapolis with a 38-0 record. They will be joined by top-seeded Wisconsin out of the West Region, top-seeded Duke out of the South Region and seventh-seeded Michigan State out of the East Region. Needless to say, this year’s Final Four has one of the greatest collections of powerhouse programs and decorated coaches in recent memory.
No. 7 Michigan State Spartans vs. No. 1 Duke Blue Devils
Two coaching legends will square off in this one. Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski will be coaching in his record-tying 12th Final Four while Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo will be making his seventh appearance. For what it’s worth, Izzo actually leads all coaches in Final Four appearances since he began coaching the Spartans, but overall, Coack K owns a 4-1 edge when it comes to national championships and is the all-time leader in wins. The bottom line is that both coaches know how to get the most out of their players when it matters most, and both teams are going to be focused and prepared for this national semifinal matchup.
On the court, it is hard not to give the talent advantage to the Blue Devils. After all, center Jahlil Okafor will probably be the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft, athletic wing Justise Winslow is an NBA lottery pick and point guard Tyus Jones is a first-round prospect. The trio leads an offense that ranks fourth in scoring and third in field goal percentage. On the flip side, forward Branden Dawson is probably the only player on Michigan State that has a chance to be picked in the first round of the NBA Draft.
However, few teams play as physical as the Spartans, and they have an uncanny knack for turning any game against any opponent into a battle of wills rather than a test of skills. Meanwhile, point guard Travis Trice and wing Denzel Valentine have been hitting every clutch shot since the NCAA tournament began. Michigan State will do what it does best and take this game to the wire with a chance to win.
Prediction: Michigan State Spartans (+5) Cover the Spread

No. 1 Wisconsin Badgers vs. No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats
This game is a rematch of a thrilling national semifinal matchup from a year ago that Kentucky won 74-73 on an Aaron Harrison 3-pointer with seconds remaining. The loss should still be fresh on the mind of the Badgers. After all, four starters are back from the team that fell to the Wildcats, including Wooden Award frontrunner Frank Kaminsky and athletic forwards Nigel Hayes and Sam Dekker. Of course, Aaron Harrison is back for undefeated Kentucky, along with his brother Andrew and defensive force Willie Cauley-Stein. The Wildcats have also added big men Karl-Anthony Towns and Trey Lyles to form a lineup that has more overall height than 29 NBA teams.
The added size Kentucky has added to this year’s squad should concern the Badgers more than anything. Don’t forget, Kaminsky managed just eight points and five rebounds in last year’s Final Four showdown, and the Wildcats have three or four big, athletic bodies that can hang with the versatile Kaminsky on the perimeter and in the post. Granted, Wisconsin’s prowess on the defensive boards and ability to play tough defense without fouling will both come in handy, but after the Wildcats got a major scare from Notre Dame in the Elite Eight, you can almost guarantee a focused effort from the opening tip from Kentucky in this one. The size, depth and talent of the Wildcats will eventually win out.
Prediction: Kentucky Wildcats (-5) Cover the Spread
