He connected on a clutch two run shot to right field yesterday in the 7th inning that opened up the floodgates for the Yankees. Jeter, who went through a off-season of turmoil and confusion, has had a rather slow start to the 2011 campaign but will be leaned on heavily to get this team back to the World Series. He now sits 25 hits away from 3000, but Jeter as usual, is putting the team ahead of the personal stats. Quite predictable considering the player in question, Jeter has always been an ambassador to the entire Yankees organization and MLB as a whole. He gives 110% in every game, never complains, and leads by example. He may not be the most talented short-stop the game has ever scene, but his determination and sportsmanship puts him in a league of his own.
