The PGA Tour heads to New Orleans this week for the Zurich Classic betting where Jason Bohn is the defending champion. Last week we saw some superb golf and a great finish as Brandt Snedeker beat Luke Donald in a playoff at The Heritage. Both are entered again this week and Donald is the favorite at SBG Global.com. Here is a look at this week’s Zurich Classic.

This is the sixth year that the TPC in New Orleans will be the venue for the Zurich Classic. The course is in the middle in terms of scoring average on the PGA Tour but the greens are undulating so that means putting will likely be of paramount importance this week. The weather forecast is for warm temperatures and windy conditions so scoring might be tougher than normal.

Luke Donald is the 2011 Zurich Classic favorite this week and there are plenty of reasons to like him again at New Orleans if he can put the disappointing playoff loss behind him. Donald leads the PGA Tour in putting and there is no question that whoever handles himself on the greens is going to have a big chance to win on Sunday. There are some other contenders who could give Donald a run this week including Justin Rose who leads the PGA Tour in greens in regulation this year. Nick Watney is another golfer who should be in contention this week. He leads the tour in all-around and is 10th in putting. Brandt Snedeker is second on the PGA Tour odds in putting and we know he is in fine form after last week’s win. K J Choi and Bubba Watson could do well if the wind picks up this weekend as they have the length to cut through the win. Not to be left out of the discussion is Steve Striker who is coming off a tie for 11th at the Masters.
