Los Angeles Lakers at Golden State Warriors 2011 NBA Preview, Odds, and Predictions

Los Angeles Lakers at Golden State Warriors 2011 NBA Preview, Odds, and Predictions:  MVP Kobe Bryant will lead the Los Angeles Lakers on the road to the ORACLE Arena to take on the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night at 10:30 PM ET a back to back for the Lakers after bashing the Cleveland Cavaliers at home.  The Warriors enter the game losing one and 3rd in the Pacific at 15-22 while the Lakers have won 5 consecutive and come in at 28-11 1st in the Pacific.  The Warriors may be without Monta Ellis their top scorer while trying to avoid a 12th consecutive loss to the Lakers.  “I think once the game starts with the preparation mentally, he’ll be ready to play,” Warriors coach Keith Smart said. “It’s still going to come down with how much strength he has. We need him to be ready to play at a high level every night for us, but especially these kinds of games like this, he needs to be up and ready.”  The Warriors have won 3 in a row at home and are trying to begin a stretch of 13 of 14 at home with a 4th win in a row.  The odds makers at Bodog have the Los Angeles Lakers a -6 point favorite on the road against the Golden State Warriors.

The Lakers continued their win streak at home on Tuesday night 112-57 against the Cleveland Cavaliers to move to just 18-21 ATS for the season.  All five starters and two reserves scored in double figures led by forward Ron Artest with 15 points 5 rebounds and 6 assists while Andrew Bynum also poured in 15 points with 6 boards and a dime.  Kobe added 13 points and Pau Gasol had 13 points and 14 rebounds.  LA Lakers are 5-0 SU in their last 5 games when playing on the road against Golden State.  Vegas odds makers have the Los Angeles Lakers +200 to win the 2010-2011 NBA Championship.

The Warriors lost the last outing 105-91 to the other Los Angeles team the Clippers to move to a positive 20-17 ATS for the season.  Guard-forward Dorell Wright scored a team high 27 points while Monta Ellis scored 13 points with 5 boards and 6 dimes in 40 minutes of play.  The total has gone OVER in 15 of last 18 games when playing at home against LA Lakers and is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games at home.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 207 points combined of the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors.

I predict a Laker win on the road.
