Indianapolis Colts at Philadelphia Eagles 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 9

Indianapolis Colts at Philadelphia Eagles 2010 NFL Predictions, Odds, and Picks Week 9:  Quarterback Payton Manning will take his Indianapolis Colts on the road to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon at 4:15 PM ET at Lincoln Financial Field.  The Colts are at 5-2 in 1st place in the AFC South and have won 4 consecutive games against the Eagles who come in at 4-3 and in 2nd place in the NFC East, but just 1-2 at home.  “We’re not concerned about standings,” coach Jim Caldwell said. “We’re concerned about getting better and getting ourselves in the best position to play well on Sunday.  We do have a group that I think has always been extremely focused.  The fact of the matter is it’s what we do.”  A win would put Indy on pace for another 12 win season for an unprecedented 8th consecutive time.

Sunday’s game will be Manning’s 200th career start.  “Some days it does feel like it (200 games), and some days it doesn’t,” Manning said. “The fun part is that a lot of those 200 have been wins and hard-fought wins, and it’s been fun preparing for those games with all my different teammates.”  The odds makers at BetUS have the Philadelphia Eagles -3 point favorites at home against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts avenged an early road loss to the Houston Texans by winning at home 30-17.  Quarterback Payton Manning completed 26 of 45 passes for 268 yards and 2 touchdowns hitting Jacob Tamme with 6 balls for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Running Back Mike Hart lead the ground attack with 12 carries for 84 yards.  Kelvin Hayden also scored on a 25 yard interception return for a touchdown.  Vegas odds makers have the Indianapolis Colts as +1000 odds to win the 2011 Super Bowl.

The Eagles are coming off a bye giving quarterback Michael Vick time to recuperate his bruise ribs and is expected to start.  Previously Philly lost 37-19 on the road to the Tennessee Titans.  Quarterback Kevin Kolb completed 26 of 48 passes for 231 yards a touchdown but 2 picks also scrambling 3 times for 18 yards.  Wide receiver Riley Cooper caught 3 passes for 51 yards and a touchdown.  The total has gone OVER in 4 of Philadelphia’s last 5 games when playing Indianapolis.  Vegas odds makers have the over/under for the total score at 46 1/2 points combined of the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles.

I predict a Colts upset on the road for another tough win in Manning’s 200th game! Rich Fritz is a Blog Writer on NSAwins.com and not a pro handicapper.
