NFL Power Rankings – Week 9, 2010

Rank/Team/W-L/Last Wk

HEAVYWEIGHTS/STEAK

1.Steelers 5-2 (1) No shame in losing to defending champs at their place.  Still the best defense out there which will carry them pretty far.

2.Colts 5-2 (3) They have 2 things that cover up a lot of weaknesses, Manning and the pass rush with Freeney and Mathis.

3.Patriots 6-1 (5) Lots of polls have the Pats # 1, but until I see them beat their nemesis Colts and/or the Steelers, they stay here.

4.Jets 5-2 (2) Getting shutout at home coming off a bye?  Really?  Rex must’ve toured every Cannoli shop in the city during the bye instead of game planning.

5.Ravens 5-2 (6) These guys only think they have the best defense out there, but they aren’t even the best in their own division.

6.Giants 5-2 (7) Who’s better than them in the NFC?  (other than the Bucs?)

7.Saints 5-3 (9) Their win against Pittsburgh was proof these guys will still be a force to reckon with.

8.Falcons 5-2 (8) Going to be a good race in the NFC South down the stretch.

9.Packers 5-3 (12) They showed me something going into NY and shutting up the Fat Guy and stoning the Sanchise.

10.Chiefs 5-2 (10) Are they for real?  Well right now they are…  As Parcells used to say “You are what your record says you are”

11.Titans 5-3 (4) Good squad, just not in the top tier of AFC teams.

12.Eagles 4-3 (14) Philly fans must be chuckling at the McNabb/Shanahan quarrel down in DC…  remember the puking in the 4 min offense in the superbowl?

MIDDLEWEIGHTS/HAMBURGER

13.Texans 4-3 (11) You didn’t really think this team was going to sweep Indy, did you?

14.Bucs 5-2 (15) Beat someone good and I’ll take you a litte more seriously, dude…

15.Dolphins 4-3 (17) When you are 4-0 on the road, you can play…  When you go 0-3 at home, you aren’t a serious threat.

16.Chargers 3-5 (21) If they don’t beat themselves, they are still good enough to win their division.

17.Redskins 4-4 (13) The McNabb era in DC is over after half a season….

18.Bears 4-3 (18) This organization is as screwed up as the Obama administration.

19.Rams 4-4 (22) Like I’ve been saying, this team can win the NFC West…..and based on the other 3 teams’ play, they should!

20. Raiders 4-4 (24) Can they win this division?  This week against KC, we will start to get the answer.

21. Seahawks 4-3 (16) Mr. Rah Rah College Guy isn’t the answer, okay?

22. Jags 4-4 (26) It’s not often the Jags can look down their noses at another team, but they can and did with Dallas…

23.Vikings 2-5 (19) Wow, what can you say about this circus?  Say what you want about the ancient one at QB, it was their defense that let them down in NE.

LIGHTWEIGHTS/SWILL

24. Cards 3-4 (20) When you have no QB’s, you have no shot.

25. Browns 2-5 (25) Fredo Corleone gets another shot at big brother Michael…  Will Hoodie take The Rat for a boat ride on Lake Erie?

26. Bengals 2-5 (23) Forget “get your popcorn ready”….it should be “get your resume’s ready”

27. Lions 2-5 (29) With Stafford back, they will be ready to roar some more…

28. Niners 2-6 (31)  Let the Troy Smith era begin…

29.Broncos 2-6 (27) The softest team in the league…  Little Hoodie isn’t the mastermind he thought he was….

30. Cowboys 1-6 (28) The laughingstock of the league, bar none.  They only way these guys attend the superbowl is to be parking attendants at Jerry’s Palace in Dallas.

31. Panthers 1-6 (30) If there was ever a team out there in need of an enema, this is it…

32. Bills 0-7 (32) Bad teams find new ways to lose every week…
