Free Football Picks from FSR Blog Writer Matthew C for September 19-20
Remember, I am blog writer for FSR and these picks are not associated with NSAWINS.COM in any way. Rough week last week going 3-4. At least it wasn’t a massacre. That brings my yearly record to 7-5. We are above water and this week will have us well above it.
2009 NCAAF Record: 5-4 56%
2009 NFL Record: 2-1 67%
College Football Picks for Saturday, September 19, 2009
Clemson – 6.5 – Clemson dominated play against Georgia Tech. Three fluke plays had them down 21-0 immediatley. They outgained Georgia Tech on a 3 to 1 ratio after that and almost came back to win. I expect them to eliminate mistakes in practice and come out soaring on saturday. Boston College hasn’t played a real team all year. I’m giving the points.
West Virginia +7 – They dominated East Carolina and blew them out in the 2nd half. They looked far better on both sides of the ball than I expected. Auburn is still a question mark and I can’t see them laying 7 points against a solid team. I’m taking the points here.
Nevada -3 – Colorado St has 2 wins against bad teams. Nevada has had 2 weeks to stew about their spanking on national TV. I don’t think the 2 weeks of practice was loosy goosy for Nevada. I don’t think they are good, but I think they are obssessed with a win here and CSU won’t put up much of a fight. I’m laying the 3.
UCLA – 12 – UCLA is off to good start and plays well at home. Kansas State is dreadful this year and a trip to LA might be fun, but the game won’t be. i’m giving here.
Cincinnati Pk – Brian Kelly has the boys rolling. They are dominating in every phase of the game and have Pike, a solid QB. Oregon St barely slipped past UNLV last week. Mike Riley’s teams are known for slow starts to the season. I say Cincy wins.
NFL Picks for Sunday, September 20, 2009
NY Jets + 4 – The Jets are not an expansion team. They have good players and the coaching can’t be judged yet. I don’t think NE can play as poorly as they did monday night and win. They are not in sync yet. This is a good time to play against them. Divisional rivalry games(like the bills game for NE) usually stay tight. I’ll take the home dog catching 4.
Philly pk – Mcnabb out. Kolb isn’t that bad and NO defense is still terrible. The Eagles defense looks mean as ever and I don’t think you will see 6 td’s against them sunday. Andy Reid will outcoach Payton and the team will rally around the 2nd stringer. I say Philly wins.
Jacksonville -3 – Maybe Jacksonville isn’t as bad as people were saying. Maybe they are. I don’t think it matters. Arizona has looked horrible every time they have been on the field this year. No timing, new offensive coordinator, and superbowl hangover have this team in dissaray. Cross country trip to Jacksonville, where the jags play tough. The Jags seem to have a fire under them, and at home, I’ll give 3.
San Fran – 1.5 – Like the home team here coming off a road win. Like San Fran’s toughness. Seattle hasn’t been in battle yet. They will be in one sunday. I’ll take San Fran at home laying a small number.
I was very disappointed and angry with my performance last week. The gloves are off and I intend to start clicking. Failure is not an option. Please respond to any article you see on this page. We want to hear from you. Thank You.
